Wow!

A single home is left standing among debris from Hurricane Ike September 14, 2008 in Gilchrist, Texas. Floodwaters from Hurricane Ike were reportedly as high as eight feet in some areas causing widespread damage across the coast of Texas. (David J. Phillip-Pool/Getty Images)

I saw that on a dateline kind of thing here and I cried...alot. It reminded me of all of the things that happened with Katrina....

That home is on a public beach now. It will be taken by the government of Texas and torn down.

It reminds me of the lone Masjid after the Tsunami in Indonesia. Actually I think there were several Masjids left standing but everything around them was decimated.
